Competitiveness and Enterprise Development Project (CEDP), Uganda: RIA Training for Key Legal Government Officials
For the Competitiveness and Enterprise Development Project (CEDP), Uganda lead Consultant Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) Training for key legal government officials. Providing services to facilitate a training of selected officers on the application of RIA to ensure effective implementation to proposed policies, laws and regulations. The deliverables of this project were: a RIA Manual, a RIA Training Plan and training material, a 4-day RIA Training divided into 8 training sessions to 30 selected government officials. This RIA Training Course facilitated a training on the application of RIA to ensure effective evaluation and implementation to proposed policies, laws and regulations. The Key Results of the RIA Training were: increase awareness of the importance of RIA, better application of the RIA Methodology, and capacity building to deliver RIA and RIA Training.
