Lesotho Tourism Licensing Simplification
In the role of leading international consultant, supported by (licensing, and legal) government officials, provided Technical Assistance to the Ministry Tourism, Environment and Culture in developing simplified, efficient and transparent regulations and processes to reduce the total costs for both businesses complying to regulations and administering the tourism and liquor licensing process; review and mapping of licensing processes to identify and decide on regulatory and institutional reforms; support in the design of legal reforms needed; review of the institutional and organisational structure incl. the functions of the Tourism Licensing Board, the One-Stop-Shop (OBFC) and other government agencies involved in tourism and liquor licensing processes, incl. inspections; provision of recommendations for the streamlining and simplification of licensing processes; and amended draft licensing legislation/regulations.
