Regulatory Impact Assessment for the National Nutrition Policy
Adequate nutrition is a prerequisite for human development and socioeconomic well-being. The Government of Uganda is committed to fulfill the constitutional obligation of ensuring food and nutrition security for all Ugandans. For this purpose a new National Nutrition Policy has been drafted. In order to have the Policy passed and approved by government, a Regulatory Impact Assessment is required, This document is the Regulatory Impact Assessment on the current draft National Nutrition Policy, assessing the impacts of the different Policy Options and prioritizing them.
Leading the RIA Team:
• Drafting the Inception report in respect to the term of reference provided.
• Representing the Client in preparatory meetings and subsequent work meetings.
• Providing guidance to the team on development of the RIA tools and reporting frameworks.
Conducting the RIA:
• Deploying the team to conduct consultations for the RIA exercise.
• Coordinate analysis of RIA findings including financial implications analysis.
• Draft the RIA report.
• Present the RIA report.
• Incorporate feedback and develop the final RIA report to approval level.
