Gap analysis of the Quality Infrastructure in Turkmenistan
This gap analysis is a contribution to the demand-driven assessment of regulatory and procedural barriers to trade in Turkmenistan, of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). This type of assessments is one of UNECE’s flagship publications, aimed at supporting governments in aligning non-tariff measures (NTMs) with sustainable structural transformation goals.
Given its central role in achieving these goals, every assessment features a gap analysis of the national quality infrastructure using an actor-oriented questionnaires, aimed at identifying legislative and capacity shortfalls in technical regulations, standardisation, conformity assessment, market surveillance and metrology.
