Preparation of the National Quality Policy to align the National Quality Infrastructure
- NQI Mapping and Assessment. Analysis of the NQI in Viet Nam, based on the report of the comprehensive analysis of the Vietnamese QI System
- Institutional mapping: Identify and map the institutions and agencies comprising the NQI (Regulators, Standards Body/ies, Metrology Institutes (Legal, Scientific, and Industrial), Accreditation, Conformity Assessment – (Laboratories, Certification Bodies, Inspection Agencies, Market Surveillance), and including Notification Authority/ies and Enquiry Points) for both TBT and SPS (Food Safety, Plant Health, Animal Health, Environmental Protection) aspects.
- Consultation with the NQI institutions in Viet Nam, Private Sector, and stakeholders. Compile information related to the legal establishment, mandates, objectives, functions, services provided, and the scope of such services by each of these institutions and agencies.
- Seek and take into consideration the views of the clients of the QI institutions, especially the private sector (industry and sector associations, chambers of commerce, exporters, SMEs, and businesswomen’s associations).
- Compare the draft of the National Quality Policy (NQP) to the international Best Practices, in coordination with MoST/STAMEQ and other authorities.
- Preparation of the final Report based on the best European and International best Practices
- Carry out workshops to inform the results and best practices.
